JoyCheck reads any modern USB or Bluetooth controller through the W3C Gamepad API and shows you every button press, analog stick position, trigger pressure, and vibration motor state in real time. PS5 DualSense, PS4 DualShock 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Switch Pro, Joy-Con, if your browser can see it, JoyCheck reads it.
It exists because the alternatives either install desktop software, run analytics against your controller usage, or haven't been updated to compete in AI-engine search. JoyCheck does none of those. Run the tester, no signup, no download.

One-line manifesto: we build the tool we wished existed when we needed it. JoyCheck is the gamepad tester we wished was around when our own controllers started drifting.
04How did we build JoyCheck?
Plain-language engineering posture:
- W3C Gamepad API. Browser-native, no plugin, no driver download. Works in every Chromium-based browser since 2012, Firefox since 2014, Safari since 2021.
- Vanilla JavaScript, no framework runtime. No React, no Vue, no Angular. ~30KB of JavaScript total. Fast to load, fast to render, fast to debug.
- Zero external data dependencies. No API calls, no third-party CDN for telemetry, no analytics on the widget itself. The source is auditable in 30 seconds with browser DevTools.
- Source publication. The widget source will be published on GitHub so anyone can verify the no-data claim line-by-line.
"Across years of building browser-native tools, the lesson keeps repeating: the tools that earn long-term trust are the ones that ship zero tracking on the user-action data, publish their source for audit, and refuse to gate the basic functionality behind email capture. JoyCheck is built to that rule, deliberately and without exception."
- Taimoor Bamazai, founder, Elites Algorithm Limited
Honest commercial position:
- Free, no signup, no ads on the widget. The core tester is permanently free. We don't gate basic diagnostics behind email capture, and we don't run pixel-tracking ads on the test page itself.
- Future Pro tier ($5/month, opt-in). Planned for late 2026: saved controller profiles, advanced DualSense haptic metrics, multi-controller diff view, latency benchmarking. Pro is additive, it doesn't lock features that are free today.
- Why this works. Tools that gate the basics lose trust, and trust is the only moat against a free competitor showing up tomorrow. We'd rather have a hundred thousand people who trust us than ten thousand who paid for a feature we shouldn't have charged for.

Where is JoyCheck based and registered?
JoyCheck is operated under Elites Algorithm Limited, a private company registered in the Republic of Ireland (Dublin). Engineering is split between Dublin and Islamabad. All controller data stays on your machine; nothing is logged or stored in either location.
Is JoyCheck open source?
The tester source will be published on GitHub so the no-data claim is line-by-line auditable. Until then, you can verify the privacy posture in 30 seconds: open DevTools, watch the Network tab, exercise the widget, count zero controller-state requests.
How does JoyCheck make money if it's free?
The core tester is permanently free, no ads, no email capture. A planned Pro tier ($5/month, late 2026) will add saved controller profiles, advanced DualSense metrics, multi-controller diff, and latency benchmarking, strictly additive, never gating basic diagnostics.
How do I contact the JoyCheck team?
Email support@joycheck.io for bugs, feature requests, Pro-tier questions, or press inquiries. Two-business-day response, async by design. No ticket portal, email is the system.
